Sometimes, families of Nobility sell titles that they have held for hundreds of years within a family. A professional researcher of manorial and feudal titles would need to be instructed, and that is another minefield of dubious researchers as many of the platforms bend over backwards to try and convince you that they are experienced researchers of many years? A professional researcher would need to be conversant in old Latin as manorial manuscripts prior to the 17th century were written in old Latin.  Deeds of previous holders would need to be identified with cross references to which archives they are held in. 

The best and safest way to buy a genuine title is for you to instruct your own solicitor to contact the office of the Crown's solicitors and make an enquiry about the possibility to purchase an escheat title. The Crown reissues these at a price. However, there is no better genuine title than one that has been reissued by the Crown. Such titles not only hold their value but increase in value substantially.

Sometimes prominent international auctioneers sell titles on behalf of the Crown. There is no question that these titles are 100% genuine. Researchers are not required. 

Very few manorial and feudal titles are genuine. Without checkable evidence of the deeds of every previous holder in an unbroken chain to when a title was issued,  a title cannot be considered as genuine. So, purchasing a title directly from the Crown is by far the best way to get hold of a genuine title which is superior to any title sold by these dubious platforms.
